CAN I HIKE OR CAMP ON THE RESERVATION?
Yes, but you must purchase a recreational permit. This permit is good for recreational activities other than hunting and fishing.

WHAT ‘S THE MOST NUMBER OF DAYS I CAN CAMP ON THE RESERVATION?
You can have a campsite up to 14 days. After that, all temporary shelters must be removed or relocated at least a mile from where they were placed originally.

CAN I FISH OR CAMP ON THE BLACK RIVER?
Both the Black River and the Salt River are Special Use Areas. Non-members are required to have a permit to hike or camp there.

CAN I RAFT, KAYAK OR BOAT ON THE BLACK RIVER AND ON THE SALR RIVER NEAR THE SALT RIVER CANYON BRIDGE?
No. To protect these special areas, all water activities (rafting, boating and kayaking) are prohibited in these special areas.

CAN I HIKEOR CAMP ALONG THE BLACK RIVER OR SALT RIVER?
No, again these are protected areas.

CAN I ROCK CLIMB ON THE RESERVATION?
No rock climbing is allowed on the reservation except by staff who must climb to perform work or rescues.
